A Partnership for Economic Governance

Most Significant Change at the Directorate General of Taxation
The governments of Australia (GOA) and Indonesia (GOI) have worked collaboratively in the area of economic governance since the late 1990s through TAMF and now AIPEG. Currently AIPEG is determining the impact of this support.
One of the tools AIPEG uses to determine this impact is conducting interviews with people who have received support from AIPEG. The key aim of the interview is to record what they believe was the Most Significant Change (good or bad), as a result of the AIPEG support.
17 staff from the Directorate General of Taxation Office (DG Tax) were interviewed. A selection panel comprising DG Tax and AIPEG members met on the 6 April 2011 and selected two stories they thought represented the most significant change. This brochure contains the two stories as well as feedback from the panel selection process.
